Walnut & Main is proud to be a family run business , owned by Chris & Amy Covey. With a background in wedding photography, it has always been a dream of Amy’s to open a wedding venue. Six years ago, we opened The Warehouse, a small event venue in downtown Van Wert. Providing a space for the community to celebrate milestones further fueled the wedding venue dream, and together with the Van Wert County Foundation we were able to make that dream a reality. Married for 31 years, we have 2 adult children - Jacob & Jenna. Marriage is important to us, and we are excited to help you celebrate the beginning of your marriage at Walnut & Main.

Amy recently retired from teaching elementary special education after 33 years. She is excited to start her “next chapter” operating Walnut & Main. She is the dreamer and creative behind the venue and you will meet with her throughout your planning as she helps ensure your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible. When she’s not at Walnut & Main, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Chris takes on the quiet support role in the business. He can be found cleaning the space, doing minor repairs, and moving tables/chairs. You may even see him behind the bar from time to time! He has worked in education for 33 years, and is currently in an administrator role at Van Wert City Schools.
